Great Hucklow C.E. Primary School - Facilities and Activities

A recent extension to the school buildings has increased the size of the junior classroom, extended the office and provided the school with a lovely new kitchen in which delicious lunches are prepared.

The children benefit from super grounds which include a playground, a playing field, a conservation area with pond and a magnificent kitchen garden, officially opened by Alan Titchmarsh in November 2006 (see photos). Using the skills of the Peak Park and Derbyshire Dales Rangers the children have explored the local woodland and disused lead mines around the school.

In addition to their classroom lessons, the children also enjoy a wealth of extra- curricular activities for example, Computer Club, Choir, Orchestra, Basketball, Multi-sport Skills, Football, Gymnastics, Crazy Crafts and Drama Club.
