Great Hucklow C.E. Primary School - Overview

Great Hucklow School, established over a hundred years ago, typifies the traditional English village school, where the development and needs of the children are foremost.

Modern day Great Hucklow School has within its catchment Great Hucklow, Grindlow, Little Hucklow, Foolow and Wardlow. It is a very popular school with a proven track record of excellent educational provision. This means that parents  are prepared to bring their children from as far as Bradwell, Froggatt and Cressbrook.

As well as Great Hucklow School’s excellent reputation for high academic standards, it is also known for its friendly, caring ethos, where every child really does matter. The atmosphere in the school is relaxed and informal, yet busy and energetic with enthusiastic and hard-working staff and children! It is a vibrant, exciting place to be where learning and fun go hand-in-hand. The school’s success is due to a ‘team effort’ approach where staff, parents, governors and members of the wider community all work together to offer a broad, rich educational experience for the pupils.
