Great Hucklow PlayhouseGreat Hucklow was well-known during the mid-years of the twentieth century for its Playhouse. It was owned and run by L. du Garde Peach, who was well-known for writing radio plays. At the Playhouse, du Garde Peach's "Derbyshire Plays" were performed, among others. The actors were local people, some of whom still live in the village. |
