Great Hucklow Playhouse

Great Hucklow was well-known during the mid-years of the twentieth century for its Playhouse.  It was owned and run by L. du Garde Peach, who was well-known for writing radio plays.  At the Playhouse, du Garde Peach's "Derbyshire Plays" were performed, among others.  The actors were local people, some of whom still live in the village.
