About this website

Purpose

The Hucklow website is intended to paint a picture of our beautiful area and vibrant village community, as well as highlighting businesses within the Parish. The website provides information for local people and visitors to the area. It is also developing an archive of information on village history, archaeology, wildlife and environment for future generations of villagers to enjoy.

Background

The Hucklow website was developed during 2006 in response to the Parish Plan. It was developed entirely within the Parish, with many of the villagers writing material for the webpages.  Gillian Beer performed the web design and constructed the pages, as well as acting as overall project manager.  Peter Miles supplied the artwork and many beautiful photos of the area, and the website is kindly hosted by Nick Williams at Conformance, a company based in Great Hucklow.
