Coplow Dale

Coplow Dale is a tiny settlement consisting of five houses, including two farms, at the north end of the parish.  It lies on a through road between the old Castleton Road and the B6049 to Bradwell.  Just to the east lies a tumulus called Coplow which probably gives rise to its name.   A little further east lies another tumulus called Stanlow, which has just been excavated by a local archaeological group with some interesting finds.
